Have-A-Go's


Ever fancied trying your hand at an ancient sport?

The York Archery Society organises regular Have-A-Go days where anyone can come along and try their hand at archery.

Visit us at such events like the Duncombe Park held in May and Pickering Game & Country Fair also in May . We also hold periodic Have-a-Go’s at the Hopgrove Playing Fields, Malton Road, York– Look out for archery targets at the entrance gates.

The Club also arranges the following types of events on request:


· Corporate Archery Events

· Society or Club Events

· Children's Birthday Parties

· Charitable Organisations e.g. Brownies, Scouts etc.

On wet/hot days please be prepared to wear appropriate footwear and clothing. Long hair may need to be tied back and definitely no open toed sandals.
