Archery Have-a-Go Sessions
York Archers Society can run supervised archery have-a-go sessions for groups of various sizes. These will typically run between the months of April and September. All equipment will be provided by the club, and sessions will be run according to Archery GB’s guidance on have-a-go sessions.

Shooting with Pride Have-a-Go
YAS Queen! To celebrate Pride Month 2026, York Archers is running an open archery have-a-go session to support LGBTQ+ charities. No prior experience is needed, and all equipment will be provided!
Following an introduction and safety briefing, attendees will get to shoot three arrows at a time against our targets. Please note that you must be supervised 1-to-1 by our coaches while shooting.
All money raised will be donated to the following charities:
Generate: Supporting the transgender, non-binary and gender-diverse community in and around York.
Just Like Us: Working with schools and young people across the UK to ensure LGBT+ young people can thrive.
akt: The national LGBTQ+ youth homelessness charity.
There will also be a charity bake sale!
The event will run from 2:00pm to 5:00pm on Saturday 27th June.
