Chairman - David Shaw

Dave is an archery coach currently completing his county certification. Prior to becomming chairman at YAS he was president of the University of York archery club. He received the Yorkshire Award from the county, alongside Sarah Wilson, for his efforts.

Outside of archery he is a research assistant at the University of York.

Vice-Chairman - Barry hustwit

Bow style: Compound
Length of time shooting: 4 years.

Barry became vice-chair in September 2018. He has also been our equipment officer for the past 3 years.

Barry’s other interests include fishing and army reunions.

Fun fact: There are no photos of Barry that are not blurry.

Sarah is an archery coach currently completing her county certification. Prior to joining YAS she was a founding member of Queens University archery club in Belfast, and subsequently was the head coach at York University archery club. For her work developing the club and its members she recieved the Yorkshire Award from the county alongside David Shaw.

Outside of archery she is a laser consultant contracted to XUV lasers in Colorado, USA.
